Titel: Dominion: Making difference between 2-3-4 player games
Beitrag von: IBB am 29.08.2011, 21:52:48
Hi there,

I've been playing Dominion at BSW for a while now and I've been amazed how difficult it is to get the people to start a 3-player Dominion game. Its happened to me on a number of occasions that i'd have to wait for 15 mins (which i don't really mind) for a 3rd player, who then quits mid-game... Extremely frustrating!

Could there be a feature so people know before-hand that they are joining a 3 player game? And that in this set-up the game can only start if a 3rd player has joined?
With this feature the people who want to play 2-ers can join the 2-pl Dominion, those like me can join the 3-pl Dominion, and for the die-hards make a 4-pl Dominion.

Hello IBB,

thanks for your suggestion. The problem you describe (most player only want to play with the minimum number of players in a game, making it harder for those who look for a more player game) is a widespread one and not limited to Dominion. So there are some ideas how this can be tackled (e.g. with minimum/maximum/precise number of wanted players settings) and something along those lines is going to be implemented, though I don't know how exactly and when exactly myself (though it won't be a "hard" difference).

Cheers
