Now the Street Soccer competition is reaching the end and proved tob e a succes, we organise something new; the Octathlon!

What is it?:
1. A tournament between the 4 partner cities The Great White North, Whitechapel, De Lage landen and  Smallville.
2. Each city is free to decide who they sign up for the tournament. A team can consist of one or more player who each play one or more different games.If they like so, a city can select a different player for a game after the first maych. Each city appoints a team captain takes care of sigining up his team.
3. There are no fixed dates for the matches, just like the Street Soccer competition.
4. Only games that can be played by 2 players, because it is hard to organise more people online at the same time.
5. A plays against B and C against D, winners play the final, losers play for 3rd place. winnaars spelen de finale, verliezers spelen om de 3e plaats. Players will be seated base don their ELO ranking.
6. Winners get 5 points, nr 2 gets 3 points, nr 3 gets  1 point, nr 4 gets nothing.
7. The city with the most points wins the tournament, in case of a draw, the number of won games decides.
8. the following games will be played: Lost Cities, Piranha Pedro, Transamerica, San Juan, Carcasonne, Einfach Genial, Yinsh and Street Soccer. One match, all or nothing, unless both players agree to decide otherwise (best of three, best of five)
9. Each city has untill september 22nd to register a team. The tournament should be finished within a month, a player has to play only 2 opponents for a game.

Du hast den Spielzweck gut erfasst.
Die tacktick braucht nicht immer das selbe zu sein, und deshalb ist meiner meinnung nach alles von 25 bis 75 punkte normal.
Und fur ein tacktisches spiel brauch ich etwas mehr als 2 minuten, meistens irgenwo schwissen 7 und 20 minuten.

Ok, vielleicht 4 minuten, aber schneller ist wirklich durchklicken.
Und ja es ist auch möglich bei andere Spiel, Piranha Pedro und nur 3-er Karten spielen kann auch innerhalb 2 minuten fertig sein.
Aber weil es hier bei Clans zu schwere actionen (es schliessen einer Stadt) kam, denke ich das es nicht geben von Taler und Rohstoffe ein effective Massnahme ist gegen durchklicken.

My experience (as a Clans guild member) is that my fastest game took over 6 minutes and that 7 - 10 minutes is common but still relatively fast. I can't believe playing a sensible in around 2 minutes is possible. If people want to play fast and brainless, that's ok with me.  
But I can imagine that games played in less than 5 minutes are not rewarded Rohstoffe and Talers. I think something like that exists for Blackbox as well. Such a measure would prevent a lot of discussion and having to take such drastic measures as closing down towns. If others think this to be a good idea, we as guild can propose this to TAMM.
