I can't tell if this is posted elsewhere:

We found that you can see the card an opponent draws from the observatory, if you click on the decks after they have drawn the card but before they have done anything with it.  Possibly, you can't do this unless you have an observatory yourself; we didn't try it without.

It is still possible to sign up for tournaments that haven't reached their max-players level yet:

Bluff, Bohnanza, Cartagena, Geister, Im Auktionsrausch, KuK, Manhattan, Manitou, Medina, Meuterei auf Tonga, Niagara, Steinchenschieber, TopRace, Yinsh

The signups are first come first served (once a tournament reaches its max, signup closes).  You don't need the mayor to sign up for you; just go to http://www.brettspielwelt.de/User/Turniere and log in.  These tournaments are listed under "Extra Registrations".  I also don't think the 3 people per city limit applies to these tournaments anymore.


There are two new tournaments:  Emerald, and UKUK.  Emerald replaces Dvonn, UKUK replaces Caylus.  Post here if you want to sign up.


Also there is a schedule for the qualifications at http://www.bgfan.de/bsw/BSWS/Vorkampf2007.html.  Times are CET.  For those in the USA, it is EDT + 5 through March 24, and EDT + 6 from March 25 on.

Actually, if you go to brettspielwelt.de, login, and click on "Tournaments" under "My BSW" you'll get the whole list.  Most of them have an Info link that leads to the rules and format and other info.

Nice find, Jon.  You can also access the same info by clicking on the purple Hall of Fame tab at the top and if you are logged in, then clicking tournaments off to the right.  Thanks.  daveb02

Is there more information about some of these, such as format?  Or is that decided later?  I'm mainly interested in the # of players for a game.
