I would like to state my opinion for once. To me the name of the league should reflect what is to be expected. So when I play VSL, I want a diversity of games to be played. This also means a diversity of options. I know that players can agree upon other options or ways to play a game (e.g. LC to 200 instead of one game), but it’s hardly done, I think mainly because it’s always in favour of one of the players (mostly the one requesting it). But therefore a lot of possibilities are left out of VSL. For instance, I might never get to play Verflixxt random or Yinsh with only 10 minutes thinking time. As a VSL-player I want to be forced to play a diversity of games. That’s why I would like the puppet to produce things like ‘next game is FSI’, ‘next game is TuT North without the horses’ or ‘next game is Turnit set 5’. So far for the theory, because of course I’m aware one game (e.g. CC) has more options than another one (e.g. BD) and treating all options equally could mean there is more diversity in the options you play than in the games itself. I suppose there are several ways to ‘fix’ this.
The option that is taken now is one of them but as stated before, there is no algorithm yet to decide if a new game is actually a new game or rather an option of an already existing one, so we get the same discussions over and over again. And here I can follow the reasoning of Ulko : a different room means another game ; every game has the same probability of being drawn. (So it’s possible to get CC, CCJuS, Ligo, Fligo). But if you’ve followed my reasoning, I would like to add that all options get the same probability. So CCHuBBuD has the same probability as CCKing ; if the puppet draws TuT, then 1/3 it’s South, 1/3 North without horses, 1/3 North with horses.
The only problematic still standing with this change are the ‘match’ options in CS and BG for example and ‘invented’ options which can not be chosen like LC to 200. While personally I would like to see them included, they should better be left out to avoid discussion threads like this one.

Hiho,

here we go again Cheesy
Our ambition hasn't changed I suppose and neither have the rules. You can find all necessary info still on http://staedteliga.exkollegen.de/
There you will see the selected games with their standard options are :
Attika
Backgammon (match 5)
Café International (bo3)
Can't Stop (match 3)
CC(X)
Einfach Genial (bo3)
Lost Cities (bo7)
San Juan (cardsetup, bo3)
Sankt Petersburg (bo3)
Trans America
Verflixxt (bo3, Parcour: Standard)
Yinsh

Please always make sure you activate the /option result STL when you play a match.

Now for the players... I suppose nothing much has changed, but if so anyway, please let me know asap.

This is how I will fill the seats normally  (leading player - focusses on this game, good substitute, knows the game well, backup because the leading players are not available) :
Attika : Puff, Kulko
Backgammon : Defdamesdompi, aradia20
Café International : aradia20, candela, Kulko
Can't Stop : candela, Defdamesdompi
CC(X): Ansi, EiNSTEiN, Puff, Defdamesdompi
Einfach Genial : EiNSTEiN, pandur, Puff, Defdamesdompi, (Laikaloup)
Lost Cities : pandur, Puff, Defdamesdompi, Ansi, Kulko
Packeis : GoKlaus, Puff, EiNSTEiN
San Juan : Puff, Kulko, bridge, aradia20, pandur, Defdamesdompi
Sankt Petersburg : bridgezocker, Puff, Kulko
Trans America : Kulko, aradia20
Yinsh: GoKlaus ?
Verflixxt:?

I didn't put Eini as the leading EG player since he would like to keep his number of matches small. Otherwise you would have seen we have a lead for all games except San Juan, which does not need one since there is a whole bunch of good SJ-players in Midgard Cool

So, please post your questions and/or remarks (like if you're in this list too much to your likings or not in there at all (Laika, Pytha, Ygra, lyri, kirsten, Exca Grin ?).
But above all : have fun showing Midgard's magic !
