TopRace Olympic games schedule:
(note: upon review of the double elimination system, the finals had to be slightly modified from the original posting)

[pre-olympic heats: to be determined based on # of participants signed up. only required if >64 for the entire BSW, otherwise this event is skipped. to be held november 29th at 16:00. 4 player games with top 2 advancing each round until the feild is less than 64. random seeding.]

The toprace guild would like to hold its Olympic game rounds at the following times:


Double elimination qualifying tournament:
saturday, december 6th 16:00-18:00 3 rounds of 2 player games, reducing 64 or less down to 32 or less. random pairings with opponents that have the same # of wins as you.  

saturday, december 13, 16-18:00 3 more rounds of double elimination; losses from december 6th carry over; reducing 32 down to 7 or less who qualify for the finals tournament.  

Finals: Single elimination 3 round tournament.
Saturday, december 20, 16-18:00. the first round, the undefeated player gets a Bye and is seeded 1st. other players seeded by BSW seigequote Additional byes may be given based on seeding if less than 7 remain.  

Whoever goes undefeated on december 20th is the Champion! Silver to his opponent in the final game. Bronze to the opponent of the champion in the semifinal match (if 2 bronze available, to both semifinalists.)

Olympia Turnier:

Es wird mit der Option "Faircards" gespielt !

Falls sich mehr als 64 Spieler anmelden wird am 29.11.2003 ein Qualifikation gespielt..
(4er Gruppen werden gespielt die ersten beiden jeder Gruppe kommen weiter! bis nur noch 64 oder weniger über bleiben.)

Olympia Plan:

6.12: (16.00 - 18:00)
aus 64 mach 32

gespielt wird best of 3 !
Spiler mit der gleichen Siegquote spielen (falls möglich) gegeneinander !

13.12: (16.00 - 18:00)
aus 32 mach 7

gespielt wird ein system in dem man erst draußen ist wenn man 2 mal verloren hat.
derjenige der ein spiel verliert kommt in die looser-runde
erst wenn er nochmal verliert ist er weg !

es kommen 7 weiter !


20.12: (16-18:00)
aus 7 mach 1

die 7 gewinner spielen gegeneinander (nummer 1 hat die erste runde ein freilos!)
somit gibt es erstmal 3 spiele.
die gewinner spielen dann das halbfinale.(3 gewinner + nummer 1)
dann wird das finale gespielt und auch das spiel um den dritten platz..

gespielt wird ein system in dem man erst draußen ist wenn man 2 mal verloren hat.
derjenige der ein spiel verliert kommt in die looser-runde
erst wenn er nochmal verliert ist er weg !
Can somebody tell me what that means, in english or in german.

Ich versuch es mal in deutsch.
Soll heissen die besten 32 spielen am 13 weiter der REst ist raus. Diese 32 übernehmen aber ihre Niederlagen vom vorherigen Sonntag nehmen sie mit. Sprich wenn man 2 Niederlagen hat ist man druassen, egal an welchem der 3 Termine sie sich ereignen.

Hi ,

ARMfeld hat lt. TORBENs Zeitplan (13.12. 16-17 Uhr) Yggdrasil ins Auto gesetzt.

Da nun hier steht das der Wettbewerb von 16-18 Uhr stattfindet, ergeben sich Überschneidungen in seinem Zeitplan.

Damit ziehen wir die olympische Meldung von Yggdrasil für TopRace zurück.

Since we were less than 64 players, we were able to compete our elimination tournament today, december 6th.

As a result, the December 13th games are cancelled.

The Top 8 from today's event advance to the TopRace Finals ON December 20th, 2003, at 16:00. This will be a seeded, single elimination tournament (like in Tennis.)
congrads to the finalists, and good luck!

The top 8 can be found under the topic "OLYMPIC TOP 8: DECEMBER 20th"
