Based on feedback from several people, I'm posting a slightly modified version of design 3, lets call this one Design 3A.  It has a more clearly defined park on frnot of the stadium and a path from the townhouses to the stadium.

We certainly can landscape the park area around the stadium, so flowers are a possibilty.

I like 3A, but it looks a litlle off center (picky picky).  Can you shift the stadium down/left one square?

The placement is because in bsw, buildings tilt to the north and east.  So it is best to leave open space on the south and west sides.

The reason for the placement was to leave from the tree lined street direct to the town square, and to leave room for a large olympic park

I still like the idea of a BIG olympic park in a "new" area of town better. No one else that want to vote for that? :-)

I think it just get to "crampy" (is that the word?) in that town center with the hugh stadium. The church get kind of squished out in that 3A suggestion

I would support design 6.  It has the advantage of being better for when the Olympics are over.

Hi,

I'm going to put my vote in for the design 6.

A large Olympic area will give us more space to build, rather than try to squeeze everything into the middle of town. I'm sure other things will come along that we'll want to build, so having some space in the middle will be useful then.

I also wish that we could put a large boulevard connecting the town centre to the stadium. But there's already been many things placed around the centre. I guess that's a problem that all modern olympic cities have. And here on BSW we have to keep roads orthogonal too. But maybe we could have some two lane roads around the stadium (and even connecting through to the other new suburbs, before they fill with houses too). I'm thinking in particular of the intersection "above" (northeast?) the stadium in design 6, which has a disjointed look. Maybe intentional, I don't know, but double-laning south and west from there might be good.
