Meta-game changes: These are still settling in but we do have some new buildings, a treasury (Stout) and 4 warehouses (Lager, Ale, Bitter, Porter notice a theme?)

Homes, Almost everyone now has a home,

Officers: Election results still not in yet but I suspect Elttil will get the job again. He is doing very well helping us through the game changes. Don_Quijote took over his job of Ambassador, and PaulW is the new Quartermaster

New Munchins: All welcome Bromios! Also schnuff rejoined us after some time away.

New Games: Anyone wanna build Verflixxt?

New Levels:
Bromios is now a Craftsman (W7)
Don_Quijote is now a Graf (W13)
Jonty is now a Baron (W14)
PaulW is now a Squire (W6)
schnuff is now a Prälat (C14)

Awards:
Most new points: 7,925 by coolala followed in a distant second by reikja's 967.

Largest Percentage Point Increase: Bromios with 38%. Followed by PaulW with 24%.

New Level With Fewest Points:
schnuff with only 147 new points!

Total new points: 18,555
Mean new points 580
Median new points:275

And we had no taxes during most of this time.  No wonder the warehouses are full!  Great work!

I've been reading the rules on Verflixxt online.  The game seems to be simple and very much depends on luck.  Assuming it is going to be a level 4 game (for taxes), I would take a pass unless we start hearing raves about it.  It doesn't seem like my type of game, but I might give it go tonight.  Can't (totally) knock it until I try it, right?

It doesn't seem like my type of game, but I might give it go tonight.

I'm going to play this tonight, it doesn't seem as bad as I thought.  Still not 'wowed' by it, any reviews?

I haven't seen mny good reviews for it, but it is the least well known of the SdJ nominees.

Oh, and to answer your e-mail, they said that all new games would be category 4, and then they would move them down later. The last game that actually moved was ParisParis becoming  category 3.

Is there a list of games coming out soon on BSW?  Maybe the next game down the road is better?

I give Verflixxt a 6 out of 10 on the BoardGameGeek scale: OK game, some fun or challenge at least, will play sporadically if in the right mood.

By using my comparative advantage (i.e. German) I can tell you that:

a) No, there is no list of forthcoming games this is as secret as your talers   )

b) There is a Wiki-list with requests for games (but this does not tell you anything....)
