Is it ok to use "oe" for ö? I use a linux machine at work, and I don't know how to make umlauts.
"oe" for "ö" is what people used to do with
typewriters, I didn't know that linux has so much nostalgic value....

You are right, "Floehli" is read as "Flöhli" but I am sure she also tolerates a "Flohli". I think it doesn't look too weird to German speakers but perhaps I am just living for too long in a French speaking area (many French speakers tend to ignore foreign accents, which is their right, as I do the same with accents in French
