September Update

No new Munchkins in September. O well.

New Homes: Darknut seems to have a plot, but no home yet. Jocelyn25 has built herself a lovely cave to live in on her new plot!

New Levels: (Quite a few this month)
Bromios is now a Patrician (W10)
Darknut is now a Landlord (W12)
Hanno is now a Herzog (W16) (What is a Herzog anyway?)
Jocelyn25 is now a Freifrau (W12) 2 levels!!
PaulW is now a Tradesman (W9)
reikja is now a Kurfürstin (W17)

Awards:
Most New Points: Jocelyn25 with 5,267 unseating coolala with his 4,775!
New Level with Fewest Points: Bromios got a new level with only 445 new points!
Largest Percentage New Points: Jocelyn got over 57% new points (More then double her points!) followed by PaulW's measly 17% new.

Statistics:
Total New points: 27,495
Medain New Points: 445
Mean New Points: 833

These numbers are the best we've had in a year! Go Munchkins!

How do you double your point total by adding 57%?  She only added 1/2 a point for each point she earned.

N = Total Now
I = % Increase

Then,

P + E = N
(1+I)P = N or 1+I = N/P

You are claiming that:

E = .57N

So, by Substitution

P + .57N = N
P = .43N
2.325P = N
2.325 = N/P

Again, by Substitution

1+I = 2.325
I = 1.325 = 132.5%

So J25 earned 132.5% new points last month...

Sorry, couldn't help myself.

It's all Nicias' fault!  If he didn't call my 17% (which is really 20.5%) 'measly', I would have passed over that line without a second look.  (On the other hand, I've been playing a bit of XBox lately, so maybe it was 'measly'.)

Next time I'll keep my mouth shut.  Well, maybe not.

Speaking of farm houses, PaulW and Bromios can move up to one of the townhouses which are for players from level 8-11. Of course, that will leave tylerdurden33 to manage the farms all by himself. A tough job, especially with the new orchard we planted. I guess we need to recruit some low level players to keep the farms going.

Sorry about the "measly" but two months of doubling her points is *very* impressive, soon she'll have more points than Esterio (our current point leader, congrats on the game Esterio btw)

To be honest, I am very behind in my XBox games.  Too much time was spent this summer playing games on some German game site.

Halo 2 - I'm at the end.  I just need a few hours when the kids are in bed.
Knights of the Old Republic 2 - Got a long way to go.  Should go quick once Halo is finished.  The first KOTOR had a great story, but was not very hard.
Fable - Not started, but I hear it is a short game.  Can be finished in 15 hours.

Also, when I heard that XBox360 (ie XBox2) is going to be out in time for X-Mas, I stopped buying games.  I'm not going to buy X2 for at least a year until the price comes down.  However, I figure XBox1 game prices will drop like a stone after X-Mas.  Games that I will pick up after the holidays:

Jade Empire - I've been dieing for this game
DOOM 3 - I still have a lot of the MODs for DOOM 1 and 2 from years ago.  This was also one of my wife's favorite games.  Lately she just kicks my butt in San Juan.
Thief 3 - Played a Demo of this game and it looks to be a lot of fun.

I haven't gone for XBox live yet.  I just figure that will just take up more time that I don't really have.

For me my Xbox largely functions as a Halo2 on live machine. I don't know the last time I put a different game in it. I keep meaning to get Lego Star Wars, but other than that I'm fine playing Halo2 on live all day long.

My wife LOVED Doom!  Many a day, when she had a hard day at work, she would blast those evil demons.

I can't get her to play Halo. She seems to be very picky on what she shoots.

Yea, I'm going to pick up the Star Wars Legos game too.  My 4 year old likes the Demo.  I want to pick that up for < $20.

I might go 'Live' for X-mas if no one can figure out what to get me.  I would need to pick a wireless transmitter to connect my wireless router.
