Sometimes it just goes that way. Nice Try.  Vegas is a hard team.

That makes us 3-1-2 (Win-Tie-Loss) for the season.  We are still in the same clump of teams near the top and we are two games ahead in 3 out of the 4 teams we are currently playing.

Soon after logging on after a late night of working and soaking in the hot tubs at work, I say in citychat:
(01:23:51) SpaceSquirrel  isn't allowed to stay for more than an hour tonight.
(01:24:06) SpaceSquirrel: already behind on sleep.

So naturally, after getting some food and playing some Solo St. Pete I see:
(02:16:33) -- Großfürstin Tiffie enters BrettSpielWelt and leaves the real world.

Tiffie is ready to play and agrees to best of 3, so naturally I decide sleep can wait (after all, I'll be mellow when I'm dead) and we have:
(02:30:01) Gamemaster: The game begins! (Started by SpaceSquirrel; with 2 players).

Still not sure quite what happened in game 1.  I got so far behind, that even a perfect draw that would allow me to go from 2 tiles to out would leave me behind, so I make some stalling moves to hope for a bigger miracle.  He draws a wild, and I can still go out, but even with the 16 I would earn and his 20 point penalty, I would lose 112 to 113.  

(02:42:57) -- Tiffie reached 135 points, including 145 points for placed guests and 10 points for remaining cards in hand.
(02:42:58) -- SpaceSquirrel reached 112 points, including 112 points for placed guests and 0 points for remaining cards in hand.

2nd game gave my opponent tough draws and me great ones.  Didn't walk into any major mistakes and had:
(02:54:23) -- Tiffie reached 43 points, including 68 points for placed guests and 25 points for remaining cards in hand.
(02:54:23) -- SpaceSquirrel reached 130 points, including 130 points for placed guests and 0 points for remaining cards in hand.
(02:54:23) -- 130 points let SpaceSquirrel grab the whole thing enormously! (10:25 min.)

The final game was a bit closer.  I made a small mistake at the beginning, but not way too many later on, got several nice draws (including 2 early wilds) and was able to empty my hand with only 4 people sitting at the bar.
(03:02:35) -- Tiffie reached 83 points, including 108 points for placed guests and 25 points for remaining cards in hand.
(03:02:36) -- SpaceSquirrel reached 117 points, including 117 points for placed guests and 0 points for remaining cards in hand.
(03:02:36) -- If SpaceSquirrel hadn't gotten 117 points, then the game wouldn't have ended so brilliant victoriously. (7:44 min.)

Don't sweat it.  I don't play BG here, but I've been screwed on the double 6's more times than I want to count.  We will get them next time.
