Flo won her game vs 7Heaven, so we have a least a tie with 3 games in that match still to play.  That's another point for us thanks for Flöhli.

Flöhli's season is done now.  If I had one thing I could change, I would have scheduled a few more games for you.  Still you had a good season at 4-4.  LA and I scheduled some hard EG players for you.

Also, thanks this season to ratpfink and reikja who did some pitch hitting for us.  So with Esterio, szwanger and SpaceSquirrel also in the club house that makes 6 players done and 8 still on the board.

Jo just couldn't stop in Can't Stop with a 9-3 record.  Jo was smoking just about everyone.

pine was 7-5, but 6-3 in Ligretto.  Filling in in CI and LC.

DQ was 8-6 this season.  DQ was one of those players who had to play games EC generally doesn't play much.  Street Soccer (4-4) and Lost Cities (3-2) and one game of CCE.

Only Elttil, PW, LA, coolala and Brom on the board.

Finally played my StP match vs Aristobulus of DragonTown, but I lost 1-2.    Horrid luck with the noble upgrades in the second and third game.

I'll play my final match vs. Sallie on Thursday.

The DragonTown match is done. Ended 6-6 so we get a point for the draw. Paul lost his SJ game, so we also finish 6-6 against 7Heaven.

The VOICES match is still in the balence. Currently 4-4, with Elttil playing StP against Sallie on Thursday, and Paul playing TA against lucy111.

DQ's win and my win makes us 6-2 up over MagicTown. The remainign games are StP (coolala - BrunoBraunbart) and BG (Bromios - Brisby)

Now that LA is done, I wanted to give him a pat on the back as well.  I think the two of us worked out well together.  I am technically listed as captain of the team (I had to pick someone) and LA as the Assistant Captain (or whatever it translates to), but I always tried to make sure that I didn't hold that over LA's head and usually deferred to LA when we disagreed.  Next season we will swap, assuming we both do it again (at least I plan too).

Thanks for all your help LA on a great job.  I sure couldn't have done it without you.  Not only that, but as a captain, if we are caught in a pinch, we usually schedule the worse games for ourselves.  LA finished 8-7-1 playing CS, SJ, DV and a bit of BG.  Great job.

Side Note: Elttil how did you do this and the Mayor's job last season?!?  You must have been busy!  

In the standings, we are guaranteed a top 3 finish, congrats!  The top three currently are:

Reality-Town 30 points (3 matches to play)
Emerald City 27 points (2 matches to play)
LasVegas     23 points (3 matches to play)

We have at least tied MagicTown as well, so that's 28 points for us.  The most LasVegas can get is 29 points.  So we need a win by (coolala or Bromios) and a win by (Elttil or PaulW) to lock 2nd place.  Elttil and I both winning would do it too.  Even if we don't get that, Vegas has to just about win all its matches to catch us.

Still even if Vegas should catch us we still have a top 3 finish and we will be moving up to League 1.   Hopefully we will have everyone back next season.  I would like to keep the team together for next season and see where we stand against the big boys.

The second game was anti-climatic because she made a mistake early that changed the whole game. I had one more worker so she cleared an extra spot to try and get even in the upcoming worker phase, but I was going first. I was shocked when she put the extra card into her hand, and she immediately saw the mistake. By the 4th turn I was earning $9 more in the worker phase, so it was smooth sailing from there. Getting nice upgrades from my observatory helped too. I built 11 nobles in both games so this was completely opposite of my prior match with Aristobulus where I never got more than 8.

I'm now done for the year, and pleased that I was able to turn things around somewhat in the second half and gets some wins for EC.

Next season we will swap, assuming we both do it again (at least I plan too).

I think both PaulW and Lardarse have done a great job this season, and our position in the standings shows it!    Thanks for both of you for all your work and I hope that you're both willing to continue.

I didn't play much outside of league games.

Elttil's win gives EC another point in the standings to 29 points (we at least tie VOICES).  LasVegas can only tie us now.

Elttil was 7-10 for the season playing 6 different games.  Elttil filled the hard role that DQ, LA and I did, mostly playing games that no one else did: SS, TA, DV and filled in for a BG game.  However, when Elttil got to play games he normally plays on BSW (StP and SJ) he was 7-3 and filled in nicely in StP when coolala and Esterio was away.  Elttil was key player for us during that time.

The first person who wins one of these games will clinch 2nd place for EC.

Also, this means out of 22 matches this season, we only lost 4 times.  Impressive!

I was 5-7 for the season playing mostly TA with a bit of SJ, EG and DV.  I was 4-3 in TA.
