Monthly update: 1st March 2006

This month, it was my turn to be totally unprepared for this update. That's why it's so late...

New Munchkins:
DamageIncSKB joined us nearly a week ago. He's only been on BSW for just over a month, and yet he's already clocked up some high amounts of playing. Jocelyn25 might need to watch out!

New levels: Not as many as last month
DamageIncSKB is now a Tradesman (W9)
Don_Quijote is now a Herzog (W16) - And now he won't be complaining about not getting mentioned this month :-)
PaulW is now a Knight (W11)
ratpfink is now a Tradesman (W9) - That's 2 levels this month!
Snapphane is now a Businessman (W8 )

Games of the month:
OFuA was played 54 times by 18 different munchkins, making it the 12th most played game of February. It was played most by Jocelyn25 (10 times), won most by Darknut (4 wins), and played most consistently by Darknut (winning 100% of the time). Nicely done, Darknut! Tongiaki was played 64 times by 15 different munchkins, making it the 9th most played game of February. It was played most by Jocelyn25 (15 times), won most by szwanger (9 wins), and played most consistently by both Darknut and PaulW (winning 100% of the time). I suspect that was just 1 game each... Next month's games are Medina and Meuterer.

And the most played game that we don't have is Verflixxt with 26 plays (21st place)

Most New Points: Jocelyn25 with 4167, ahead of coolala who only got 3150
Largest Percentage Increase: ratpfink with 43.9%, Snapphane was second with 24.5%

EC day:
The next EC day will be on Sunday 5th March at the usual times. Hopefully we will see you there.

Olympics:
The 3rd BSW Olympics are coming! It will start on April 22nd and go on until May 7th. Jocelyn25 is coordinating our team, so tell her if you want to play. Either /tell her, or send an e-mail to her new e-mail address jocelyn25@web.de but hurry up, because she needs to know as soon as possible, preferably before the end of EC day.

Another steady month. Can we do 3 in a row? There's only 1 place to find out...

Thanks for the nice report - even though I'm not mentioned at all in it.

Would it be possible to have some more info about games played? Such as, for instance, the whole list of games with their number of plays.
I'm not really surprised to see games like Tichu, CS and LC in the top 5. It could also be interesting to compare numbers of plays for, say, KUK and Emerald, or 6nimmt and Diamant. Also, I would be curious to see how many BSW games have not been played at all by any munchkin last month. I'm sure there will be months where Intrige will not be the only one in the list...

But maybe I'm the only one curious about such info.

Hey, Hey winning 100% is winning 100% any way you cut it!  (Darknut won twice.)

I'll post the complete list of games played last month when I get home from work.

FYI, I now have this info automated so I can pull info from the BSW website and store it in a relational database at a push of a button or, since I am lazy, it runs automatically at a scheduled time (late night German time).

So the point of this is, if you are looking to compair last month to this month, or slice and dice the numbers in some other way, I can likely do it in 5 minutes with the right database query.

I wrote an Access report to create forum tables back when I managed the city league team. I stuck your data into a table and created a copy of the report to pull from it. It's always nice to re-use a handy piece of code.
