I'm happy to see Esterio is back for some council work. I'm sure who ever makes the run for the mayor job will get a good balance between the different interests and styles of our city.

Elttil has done a great job, no question.  I didn't take it against Elttil's style or work, just that he was the only one running (like a lame duck, one horse race, etc.) 

Elttil is being nice enough (twice now) to offer up the mayorship in order to try to stir some debate in EC.  I think the least someone can do take up the offer.  In the end, it's good for the city.

Woohoo! The race is on!

Elttil begins kissing babies, then fires up Sound Recorder, leans close to the mic, and begins chewing. Yes, that's for the purpose of creating some sound bites -- a key to any campaign. 

As I mentioned before, I'm happy to continue as mayor for a little while longer, but I'm very glad to see others interested in the position and won't be disappointed at all if someone else is elected. There are a few initiatives in progress right now that I'd like to see completed such as the inactive player guidelines, but they can be completed by the next mayor if needed.

No time for a more complete position stance right now.

Elttil wonders if Darknut is a dark horse candidate.

Congrats to PaulW! We had 16 people vote this month, that's over 20% more than the previous two months combined.

Elttil hands over the keys to the donkey cart and provides a new package of air freshner as a gift.

Thanks, Elttil.  You did a great job as mayor.  I really didn't except to win this vote and was just trying to stir some debate in EC.  With the large vote turnout clearly that worked out.

I just got home a few hours ago (I was away all weekend and one of my kids got sick on the ride home).  I will be filling the council positions over the next few days, but for now I need a few hours sleep so I can think a bit more clearly.

Clearly the key to this race was the Darknut vote. He split the Elttil vote and let me sneek in.
