With /join 2-5 players can join the game. With /start the game begins. Alternatively, you can use the Game Tool!
Each player starts with 6 pirates of a color and tries to escape from the fortress via an underground tunnel. A boat waits for them at the end of the tunnel. As soon as a player has all his pirates board, the boat hoists the anchor and the game ends.
On your turn you may play up to three moves. You can also pass (by clicking the arrow). The game also has two other variations.
OR
When wanting to move a pawn towards the boat drag one of your cards onto the pawn you wish to move. The pawn will now move to the next free space of the type of card played, or if there are no more free spaces of that type, into the boat.
When wanting to move a pawn back to the jail click on the pawn and drag and drop to the esired location. You can only drag back to the next available location where one or two pawns (of any color) are standing. (Locations where three pawns are effectively full up!). You then receive cards according to the number of pawns originally occupying that space (one or two).
The next 12 cards available are shown on the top of the screen. They are taken drawing from the left side. Once all the cards have been taken from this window the next 12 cards become available.
The player who gets all 6 pawns into the boat first wins the game.
The "Tortuga" variant is the default game in which you can see everyone's cards and the next 12 available cards.
With /option " Jamaica" you are not allowed to see which cards others have nor can you see the next 12 cards.
With /option "hispaniola" the players cards in hand are unknown, however the next 12 cards from the deck are displayed.
