In Explorers you explore a new world as an explorer, travel through different landscapes and collect resources and objects that give you advantages or victory points .
Everyone places 3 crosses in a terrain type starting from the starting village.
The game runs over 4 rounds with 7 moves per round.
At the beginning of each round, 7 exploration cards are laid out face down.
As the active player, the starting player reveals the first card, chooses one of the two terrain types on the card and places 3 crosses on his game board.
< p> All other players either place 3 crosses on the terrain type that the active player did not choose or 2 crosses on the same terrain type as the active player.Rules for placing crosses:
cross (including the starting village).
Joker cards show 2 terrain duos . The players choose one of the duos according to the rules and are allowed to distribute their 3 or 2 crosses on the two terrain types.
Then, as the active player, the next player reveals the next exploration card, chooses a terrain type, etc.
The round ends when all 7 exploration cards are revealed and dealt with.
The victory points for provisions and gemstones are entered.
The next player becomes the starting player following round.
The game ends after the 4th round. All villages are scored and all additional points for provisions, gems and temples are added.
The player with the most points wins the game. In the event of a tie, the player who used the fewest cards wins. Unused keys and maps no longer give points.
If you place a cross on a field with an object, you benefit from its effect:
A key allows you to make a cross later (even in the same turn). to set a temple.
Maps can be used in a later turn to ignore the terrain type specified on the exploration card and instead place 4 crosses on another terrain type.
Immediately place a cross on a field of any terrain type. This field must still be orthogonally adjacent to an already placed cross. If there is an object on this space, benefit from its effect.
The corresponding provisions are marked on the scoring tile. It is divided into 4 columns, one for each round.
A provision can only be crossed out on the landscape if it is still available on the scoring tile in the column of the current round.
At the end of each round, players receive 2, 5 or 10 points for 1, 2 or 3 different provisions that were marked on the scoring tile in that round.
Place a cross on a gemstone on the scoring tile. At the end of each round, players receive as many points as the total number of gemstones marked on their scoring tile.
