In order to bring your world a lot of fame and honor, you should choose people and achievements cleverly. But you shouldn't ignore agriculture, culture and military power, otherwise one of your competitors may become bigger and more successful. Who will be the first to succeed in creating a new, flourishing civilization?
This is just a brief summary of the rules and an instruction manual.
The complete rule of Hadara (PDF) can be found here at Hans im Glück.The game runs over 3 epochs and two phases, with each phase being divided into individual steps. Before the game starts in the first epoch, the start cards are distributed and each player can choose the front or back of them to determine other starting parameters.
Each epoch is divided into two phases proceed similarly.
At the beginning of each epoch, the current player sets the wheel and thus determines the order of the first card selection. If the selection is made by turning, confirm with "OK".
The players are now given two cards to choose from, the color of which corresponds to the setting on the wheel. You can buy a card by dragging it to the bottom edge, and you can sell it by dragging it up to the edge.
When every player has chosen a card , the second one is placed on the game board. Now the wheel continues to spin automatically and you get two more cards to choose from.
If all 5 colors have been chosen, this round ends.
Now each player receives coins according to their value on the yellow income track.
If you can fulfill the conditions for a colony, that means a higher value on your red military bar than the colony indicates, you can plunder or colonize it.
The selection is made again by dragging the colony with a green background either to the top edge in order to plunder it and to get coins, or down to colonize the colony for coins and get the hidden bonus.
Now busts are chiseled. The busts give you a bonus on one of the four tracks, or you can get an additional bonus on your victory points. However, here you have to fulfill the condition for the bust on the blue culture track.
To carve a bust you have to assign it a bonus tile by moving the bust up (for points ) or down (as a bonus) into one of the four different color areas.
The open cards that are in phase are now taken one after the other A was removed from the game board. Each player can either purchase one of the 5 cards on top or discard it for coins. This continues until there are no more cards on the board.
Just like in phase A, these actions are also dealt with in phase B in order. You can get a good overview of the course of the 3 epochs in the phase overview (4)
Here you will now check whether the value on your green food track is sufficient for the number of cards you previously bought. If this is not the case, you must give away as many cards until your value is equal to your number of cards.
You can choose the cards in your display and move them to the upper area to discard them.
You buy seals to gain points. There are golden seals, which give you 7 victory points for each color set of 5 different colored cards in your display.
And there are silver seals, which you can assign a color to using your bonus chips . At the end of the game you will be credited with half of the points on the corresponding bar. (rounded up)
The game ends after 3 eras. Then the different points are determined to add up the overall result. Of course, the player with the most points wins. If there is a tie, the player with the most coins wins.
