Skull King is a pirate-friendly card trick game in which you have to predict the number of tricks you will take as accurately as possible. Sounds easy if it weren't for the nasty players...
Example: Nessi has collected a total of 90 points so far. She predicts three tricks, but has currently only taken two (2/3). Because of the missing trick, she would currently have -10 points, for a total of (80) points.
The game consists of 66 cards, which are divided as follows:
Special cards:
The game lasts ten rounds. Before the start of each round, each player must announce the number of tricks he would like to win in that round. After that, each player always plays exactly one card, the highest one wins the trick.
Each player only receives one card in the first round, two in the second round and two in the third three and so on.
At the beginning of the round each player must predict the number of tricks they will take, face down.
Once all players have chosen, the starting player begins to play one of his cards. He is always placed on the far left of the display, with the following players sitting to the right of him in the order of play. All players then also place a card in this order.
The following applies: The color laid out first must always be used!
For example, if the first player lays out a red card, all other players must also lay out a red card if they have one. The only exceptions are the special cards: You can always lay these cards, regardless of the color you first played (does not apply to black skull cards!).
Once all players have played a card, it is determined who takes the trick. How the cards can sting is explained below:
Here, the suit laid out first is trump. It must be served (unless you play an special card). The highest of the first colors laid out wins. Other color cards (except black) count for nothing and never win.
Skull cards are < strong> no special cards, i.e. they may only be placed if you cannot use the card that was first laid out! They beat any other color card. If there are several skull cards, the higher one wins.
Escape has the value 0 and is always the lowest card .
The siren is higher than all color cards (including the black ones!). She also outsmarts the Skull King, but not the pirates (if no Skull King is down). If she overstabs the Skull King, she also receives the Bonus. If there are several sirens, the one placed first trumps.
Pirates trump all color cards, skull cards and the siren. They can only be overtaken by a previously placed pirate card, the Skull King or a Siren (if it has overtaken a Skull King).
The Tigress can be played either as an escape or as a pirate. If you play it, you get a selection window in which you have to specify your choice:
The Skull King is the highest card. He can only be hit by a siren.
At the end of each round, each player's tricks are counted. Anyone who has received as many tricks as they predicted receives 20 points per trick won. If a player does not reach his announced goal, 10 points are deducted for each trick that he was above or below his announcement.
If a player announces 0 tricks and succeeds If so, he receives the number of points for the current round x10. So if he says 0 in the fifth round and holds on to 0, he gets 50 points. However, if he receives one or more tricks despite a 0 announcement, the same number of points will be deducted! You can win a lot of points with a 0 announcement, but you can also lose a lot.
Attention: You only receive bonuses if you have correctly predicted the number of tricks you will take. Whoever is wrong receives no bonus!
If the trick has been awarded, the player who received the trick begins and lays Now first choose another card.
At the end of a round the scoring block opens automatically:
Here you see you get the points and the trick announcements of all rounds. When everyone has confirmed by clicking OK, the next round starts (the round is opened by the starting player who switches from player to player).
The block can be blocked at any time during the game can be opened or closed by clicking on the block symbol at the top right of the map tray. The points and announcements are always displayed there for the current round.
The game ends after ten Round. The player with the most points wins.
The entry SkullKingHook=On in the prop file represents the entry SkullKingHook=On in the prop file. This allows you to do so during the game already mark a card that you want to play. This then receives a pirate hook. When it is your turn, this card is played automatically. Of course, as long as it's not your turn, you can change your wish and choose another card.
