This may be the case if your browser prevents pop-ups when using a Java application. Please make sure that Java is enabled in your browser and that the BSW Java Home page is allowed on your approved list for pop-ups. Don't worry, the pop is only needed to start the Java platform.

I start up BSW, however, everything remains Gray what do I do?

Make sure that your browser supports Java and Java is enabled. If this is the case, please check whether your firewall enables port 7670 and that Java can communicate with the Internet.

If I play too long, my computer starts to "lag badly" (graphics do not work) and I need to restart?

Try an Error log. Your Browser (cache) may be full. Clear it, fire up your browser again and try. If this happens often, you should consider downloading the Client software.

My browser forgets who I am.

For BSW on your Browser to recognize you, cookies need to be enabled enable on your computer. If they are not, then the cookies needed are being blocked by your pc.

Can I change the size of the Browser Window?

Yes and no. In some browsers, the window size is fixed, because the browser has access to BSW and not intended for permanent use. If you want to be able to resize the window, then you should consider Downloading the Client. Maximizing to full screen mode is not recommended as it may suppress any messages being sent to you in message channels.

I have selected full screen, however I lack a part of the game play area and/or the command input area.

BSW is designed to use a 4:3 screen ratio. Modern Wide-screen monitors use the television format ratio 16:9. Therefore maximizing to full screen may make some of the game screen or text channels to disappear. It is best to let the BSW program set the sizes.
