The Goal of the Game

Spielfeld

Pickonimo (Worm Roasting) is a simple game using 8 dice. Players try to collect as many worms as possible. The worms are shown on the tiles in the center of the screen. Players must role combinations whose pips add up to the number shown on a tile. The game finishes one all the tiles have been taken/used (see below). The player with most worms wins! If the game is a tie, the player with the highest worm tile wins.

The Interface

At the start of each round, click on the dice to roll them. The dice have the numbers 1-5 or a worm. The value of each dice is indicated by the pips and the worms are worth 5 points. From the 8 dice you must now select a value and put aside all dice that currently show that value. You must now decide to keep the total value of the dice that you have put aside or re-roll the remainder of the dice to get values that you have not yet put aside. If your next throw of the dice only have values the same as you have already put aside, then you forfeit that turn. Otherwise you may select another value and put all dice of that type aside too. You may at any time buy a tile from the center using the total sum of the points on the dice you have set aside. The minimum value is 21 points for the lowest tile. You must have at least the value of the tile you wish to take.

When a player (with more than 20 points) wishes to 'stick' with his point value from the dice, he can choose a tile whose value is the same as or less than the value of the dice put aside. He just clicks on the tile he wants. If your exact number is no longer available, then you can take one of a lesser value. Note You must always have at least one worm in your scoring dice. The tiles will stack themselves in front of each player. If the score achieved is the same as one of the tiles on another player's stack, then you may steal this tile (click on the tile).

If a player doesn't reach the value needed to take a tile (e.g. he has already got worm, worm, 5, 5, 3 and the rolls 5, 3, 3), then he must return his highest tile from his stack to the center. If you fail to score and you have a tile you must always return your highest tile back to the center. At this point the highest tile available in the center is turned over and is out of play. If the returned tile is the new highest tile, it remains available/in play.
