It's a pleasant barbecue party with "roast worms" cooking. Servings numbered 21 to 36 are on the grill. With eight dice (marked with numbers 1-5 and a worm), a steady hand, and a lucky roll, you gather them up fresh and hot. Or, you can swipe a serving from the plate of one of your fellow players. The servings have different values, with the larger numbers worth more: 21-24 brings one worm; 25-28, two; 29-32, three; and 33-36 gets you four hot juicy crawlers.

Pickomino - a jolly and savory dice-rolling game which is not for the birds!

Here's how to play Pickomino:

  • Each player takes a turn according to the following rules:
  • With each throw the player can select ALL dice of a certain face type, the score becomes the total values of all dice. (Worms count as 5).
  • With each throw a face type not aleady selected during this turn MUSt be selected.
  • You can finish the round at any time.
  • If your total is in the range between 21 and 36, you may take the appropriate portion from the grill and place it before you.
  • Alternatively you can take the top most “roasting worm portion” (the portion shown) if you score the exact value from the “plate” of a fellow player.
  • If you do not total at least the value of the smallest serving on the grill, or the exact value of another player's top-most portion, you must return your top-most portion back to the grill. The highest val portion still on the grill is turned over and is no longer available.
  • Exception: If the dice total is neither on the grill nor on the top “plate” of an opponent, you can take the portion from the grill with the next lower value.
  • The game ends, when no “roasting worm portion” are available on the grill. The player with the highest number of total worms from all their portions, wins. If there is a tie, then it is the player with the highest value tile, who wins.
