The 5 Clans of the Ancients are roaming the land trying to settle down and provide security. They are starting to build their huts closer together, the beginnings of village life. But the peace is deceiving and the seemingly simple rules unsue a game of tactics.

Each player is in charge of one clan. Secretly they try to make their clan the most powerful through the creation of villages. One rule states that all clans represented in a village get the same number of points when it is created, no matter how many huts they have in that village. Therefore, having very few huts in a large villages (maximum of size 12) can be an advantage!

Movement takes place by relocating one adjacent hut at a time to another. When a group of huts can no longer be added to (no adjacent huts) then the village is formed.

Clans has few rules, however, it offers sufficient depth of play to be an interesting and appealing game.
