A light, often bewildering card game

At first sight it looks like a normal card game. But some parts of Stingers are very strange for a normal card player. The rules are very simple but also complicated, because they are totally different to what you are used to. There are 6 different colors and for each color there are cards ranging from 0 to 14. You don't have to follow suite; if it's your turn you can play any card you like. Any color besides the color of the first card played is trump. The player that plays the first card normally doesn't win the trick. At the beginning of each round, every player chooses a misery color. At the end of a round you get 1 point for every card that you've won, except for cards in your misery color. They give negative points!

Sticheln is so nice because you can irritate your opponents by giving them negative points. Sticheln is a sophisticated game, despite the simple rules.
